Original Soviet Union WWII Inert ROG-43 Offensive Hand Grenade

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. Now this seems like a rather scarce Soviet grenade from WWII. Information was rather scant when researching, but we were fortunately able to find information, but further research is always encouraged! The grenade itself is in ground dug condition, BATF compliant and unable to be returned to its original destructive state.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

Hand-held fragmentation grenade ROG-43, designed to defeat enemy personnel in offensive and defensive battles. The new grenade was developed in the first half of the “Great Patriotic War” with the factory designation RGK-42. After being put into service in 1943, the grenade was designated ROG-43.

ROG-43 is a modification of the RGD-33 grenade. In its production, the same materials and technologies were used. The grenade fuse is left unchanged. The body of the grenade and the protective cover are several millimeters longer than that of the prototype. Thanks to this alteration, the grenade had become easier and cheaper to manufacture. The production of ROG-43 was established at the industrial enterprises of the Caucasus. The ROG-43 grenade consists of a body, an explosive charge (VV), a shock-safety mechanism and a fuse.

The grenade is still in somewhat solid condition with faint markings and minimal paint. The body is covered in rust which unfortunately ate through the metal causing small holes in the body.

A rather rare grenade that comes more than ready for further research and display.
