Original U.S. WWII and Korean War Inert 20mm M99 Training Practice Rounds

Item Description

Original Items: VERY FEW Available. This is a wonderful opportunity to add one of the most collected calibers of ammunition, the 20mm. The 20 mm M99 TP cartridge is used for training, gun testing, and gull system function tests. It contains a hollow, inert projectile with a cavity for control. These rounds are all inert with deactivated primers and are in total compliance per the BATF regulations governing Ordnance.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

The rounds are wartime dated for both WWII and the Korean War. They are in wonderful condition with complete headstamp markings and drive band markings which identifies the rounds as being an M99 TP.

20 mm caliber is a specific size of popular autocannon ammunition. The dividing line between smaller-caliber weapons, commonly called "guns", from larger-caliber "cannons" (e.g. machine gun vs. autocannon), is conventionally taken to be the 20 mm round, the smallest caliber of autocannon. All 20 mm cartridges have an outside projectile (bullet) diameter and barrel bore diameter of approximately 0.787 inches (20.0 mm). These projectiles are typically 75 to 127 mm (3–5 in) long, cartridge cases are typically 75 to 152 mm (3–6 in) long, and most are shells, with an explosive payload and detonating fuze.

Weapons using this caliber range from anti-materiel rifles and anti-tank rifles to aircraft autocannons and anti-aircraft guns.

A fantastic opportunity to add a beautiful 20mm round to your displays. Act fast as these will surely not be available for long! Comes more than ready for further research and display.
