Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a gorgeous AAF officer’s ike jacket to a Navigator in the 2nd Army Air Corp as indicated by the gorgeous bullion patch on the left sleeve. This example was hand-tailored at Brooks Brothers of New York City. This is a really stellar jacket with some killer bullion insignia.
The jacket bears US & Air Corps collar insignia, 2nd Lieutenant Bars on each shoulder board, a gorgeous bullion 2nd Army Air Corp patch on a blue felt background, and four bullion overseas stripes on the left cuff, indicating two years overseas. There is a stupendous set of bullion Navigator’s wings above the left breast pocket, above a nice 3-place ribbon bar with the Army Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal with two campaign stars.
The jacket is in really great condition with all buttons retained. The two front pockets have snaps instead of buttons, a nice touch by the tailor. This is a really phenomenal example with some great bullion insignia. Comes ready for further research and display.
