The longer has two claws,  and the shorter part has a loop and a claw. The longer portion should be passed\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ethrough the shorter portion. The shorter portion can then be looped through\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ethe butt-stock sling swivel and hooked into itself. The longer portion\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eshould have one loop formed at the end around the loop on the short section,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ewhile the front section forms a loop around the sling swivel.  The keepers\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eare used to help keep the sling from coming apart.
