In June 1965 the Air Force also contracted for inflatable shelters that could be erected quickly and easily to provide enough covered space for maintenance of fighter aircraft, critical components, ground equipment, ammunition , and war readiness materiel. When more permanent operational facilities were completed , base civil engineers turned their attention to building more permanent administrative and living facilities. It consists of a hand held lamp \u003cstrong\u003eLight, Traffic, Aircraft, Type B-2 \u003c\/strong\u003ealong with a \u003cstrong\u003eTransformer Type B-2\u003c\/strong\u003e both of which are contained in a wood transit chest. The light is complete with both blue and red filters and extra bulbs. We plugged it in and it fired right up!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese were crucial pieces of equipment for early airfields that did not have permanent infrastructure built and also used in the jungle for helicopter landings.
