U.S. M1928A1 Dummy Thompson Submachine Gun
Item Description
Original Item: U. S. M1928A1 Thompson Submachine Gun in standard U.S. WW2 configuration with dummy steel receiver manufactured by Philadelphia Ordnance Co. Philadelphia Ordnance is known for the accuracy and quality of their receivers. The parts used to complete the display gun are all original U.S. issue in excellent condition. The finish is Parkerized, in the color used most extensively during the Second World War. The barrel is finned and is equipped with an original Cutts compensator, lavishly marked with Cutts and Auto Ordnance trademark information.
Unlike many display Thompsons, this example has an original Lyman adjustable rear sight in unused condition, which alone sells for over $200.00. In addition, it comes with a complete set of internal parts in unused condition (bolt, rare actuator with milled cocking knob, H piece, recoil spring, buffer and recoil spring rod, and bolt oiler assembly).
The gun is supplied with an original Type XX 20-round box magazine. From a private collection. One only.
