Original Item: Only One Available. This is both amazing and interesting. Manufactured during WW2 specifically to assist both Naval personnel and aircrews to identify German WWII ships from a distance.
There were instances of attacks taking place on friendly war ships so with these models pilots could become familiar with vessels from a great altitude and sailors from a distance on the horizon.
This set is contained in a wood chest measuring 17 inches by 37 inches that opens like a book to display 7 individual slots each containing a German Fleet model vessel. Each vessel is made from lead is marked with the ship's name or class.
In all this set has 8 vessel models ranging from battleships to mine sweepers. Everything is painted battleship grey. Each model has incredible detail, however, just a few may be absent a small fitting or two. all models are named with a wghite plaque and on the underside of the wood base.

Not really appropriate for the bathtub as all are made from lead, but never-the-less this makes a wonderful display that is exceptionally rare.
