It is apparent this was done since the original blade of the M-1918 was somewhat useless as a tool. It was a phenomenal fighting weapon, but otherwise a poor choice for any utilitarian means.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe right side of the guard has been bent upwards in order to carry the knife sheathed in the original Case 337-6 ”Q” sheath without being too cumbersome. The imprint of the guard of the knife is imprinted in the belt loop portion of the sheath, a tell tale sign that this knife has been undoubtedly paired with the sheath for a very long time! The blade shows signs of expected tarnishing and light corrosion, as expected, while the L.F.\u0026amp;C. Knuckle Duster grip exhibits a beautiful untouched rich mellow patina. The blade and grip do not wobble, and are very tight. Sheath closure strap will works flawlessly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA beautiful example to add to a collection of WWII Fighting Knives. This is one of the finest examples of a converted knife like this we have ever seen!
