We have seen other examples indicating the patent was filed on November 17th, interestingly less than a month before America’s entry into World War Two. This item just goes to show the anti-German sentiment that existed before December 7th, 1941.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese are scarce items today simply because they were not very well made to begin with. Cast from plaster, with an applied cotton bound batting-filled pin cushion. The figurine is hand painted, with most of the original paint still present. The figure measures approximately 5 inches tall. This example is in great shape, with just some chipping around the edge of the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese originally came in a box with a paper tag tied around the neck, however this has lost the original packaging materials.
