This is a rare example of an original field cap used by Chinese National Revolutionary Army (國民革命軍) at the time of the Sino-Japanese war of 1937-1945. Often abbreviated as the NRA, the group was the military arm of the Kuomintang (KMT, or the Chinese Nationalist Party) from 1925 until 1947.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cap is made from Khaki fabric with two metal buttons holding the chinstrap in place. The cap has an extremely scarce pressed tin cap badge on the front showing a white sun on a blue background, the emblem of the National army. The badge has heavy oxidation and paint loss, with some rusting staining the cap underneath.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cap is in very good condition, with the expected wear and staining from service. The sweatband is a bit worn and so is the chinstrap. Size is relatively small, probably around 56cm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA very scarce cap, with a very scarce insignia.
