These knives are referred to as \"Theater Knives\" by collectors, indicating that they were either produced or modified by US servicemen in the field, despite being purpose-made fighting knives manufactured in the United States.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is an interesting example made with a bowie-style blade and fuller on both sides. The blade is 5 ½” long and has the name\u003cstrong\u003e J.L. CASALE\u003c\/strong\u003e stamped into it, a great research project. The overall length is 10 ¼”.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sheath is very crude but fits the knife well, and has a hand-cut belt loop.
