The report is named on the front to Lieutenant Joffre L. Coe, who served in Manila and Tokyo as an Intelligence Officer with the Far Eastern Air Force, which makes sense given the report.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe report contains geographical information on the North Shore of the Inland Sea Area, as defined on the Orientation Map. The maps were to be used in conjunction with operational maps in the event of an Invasion of Japan, which thankfully never came about. The first map is an index of ports and anchorages in Japan for landing purposes. The maps are all numbered and many are aerial photographs with illustrations depicting current constructions in the area, Anti-aircraft defense locations, etc. There is a plethora of information pertaining to the possibility of invasion, making this a tremendous research project.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe book is in great shape with just normal wear from storage, and given the awkward size, it’s in phenomenal condition. The book measures 9 x 14” but one of the maps stretches out an extra inch., so overall its about 10 x 14”.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the first example we have encountered, and is a phenomenal reference for what would have been one of the largest invasions in U.S. history.
