This M1928 Thompson scabbard is in NOS (New Old Stock) condition, meaning it doesn’t look to have seen use during WWII or since! These were used with motorcycles such as the Harley-Davidson WLA, jeeps and many other military vehicles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom the style of the 1870's Winchester saddle carbine scabbards, these were used in WWII to protect the weapons and to have them ready and at hand for immediate use. This example retains the lovely brown color and the small strap attached to the bale on one side.
