The grouping includes a “War Map”, on the back of which Willie wrote a chronological list of what he did during the war, battles that took place, etc. There’s also a WWI French map brought home by his father, Robert G. Wille, who served with the 102nd Trench Mortar Battery, 27th Division from 1917-1919.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grouping includes:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-A Painting done by Wille depicting U.S. ships on the water from the perspective of his ship, the USS John M. Bermingham. Frame measures 9½ x 11½”. \u003cbr\u003e-Willie’s Navy Discharge certificate stapled to his service history. Joined 11-25-1942 and left 11-27-1945.\u003cbr\u003e-Willie’s Navy Good Conduct Medal, engraved on the back with his name and year of discharge, 1945. In great shape with brooch still retained.\u003cbr\u003e-WWII War Map with chronological list of the war and Willie’s service. He accompanied a convoy to the UK in June 1944, and his other exploits during the war. A really phenomenal piece worthy of framing.\u003cbr\u003e-Photo of Willie or an officer with binoculars.\u003cbr\u003e-April 1944 roster of the USS John M Bermingham, with Willie’s name listed.\u003cbr\u003e-Small certificate naming Willie a “Plank Owner” of the USS John M Bermingham.\u003cbr\u003e-Torn map of France named to Robert G. Willie, 102nd Trench Mortar Battery, American Expeditionary Forces, dated January 4th, 1919. Wille was a wagoner with the battery and was Robert W. Wille’s father.
