This is an original Chief Warrant Boatswain Amphibious Forces Hand Drawn Artwork N-4 Jacket featured on page 41 in the book U.S. Naval Amphibious Forces; U.S. Navy Uniforms in World War II Series by Jeff Warner. In fact this jacket was purchased by IMA from the estate of Mr. Warner along with much of his personal collection

The shoulder patch for U.S. Navy Amphibious Forces is visible on the left sleeve. The back of instructor's jacket has been decorated with the design of an alligator disgorging tanks. Variations of this design were used on uniform insignia and a number of personal items as the official image of the Navy's amphibious forces. (J. Warner)
