This is a very nice original WWII inert M6AA rocket for the U.S. WWII 2.36 inch M1 / M1A1Bazooka. The 2.36" rocket consists of a head, a stabilizer tube, and tail. The rocket is totally inert and complies with standards outlined by ATF.

The inert rocket measures approximately 22 inches long and still has much of the original paint on the exterior. There are traces of blue paint on the warhead, the usual color for an "inert" or practice item. The warhead and fin assembly still unscrew, allowing the interior to be inspected. There is also what looks to be the striker for the bursting charge rolling around on the inside of the warhead. The rocket does not have any maker mark, just a few letters stamped onto the center portion where it meets the warhead.

The M6A1 was the second projectile designed for the M1 and M1A1 bazooka family. The original M6 was notoriously unreliable, both with the launch and detonation. The M6A1 had improved fuze and ignition designs to help get rid of this problem. The rocket was eventually replaced with the round headed M6A3, which had a blunt head, which was intended to help prevent deflection off of armor.

A great display piece from the WWII Era!

https://www.ima-usa.com/products/original-u-s-wwii-m6a1-anti-tank-rocket-for-the-m1-and-m1a1-2-36-inch-bazooka-launcher-inert-1
