Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Genuine WWII U.S. Army M4 Carbine bayonet fighting knife with original M8 scabbard. Nicely marked U.S. M4 / UTICA on underside of hand guard. Very good condition clean sharp blade with about 40% of the original finish. The blade has been cleaned and sharpened, but not enough to effect the shape of the blade. It is VERY sharp on the lower edge at present.
The Grip, guard and pommel are all tight to the blade. Leather washer grip is in great shape, with lots of life left and just a bit of wear.
The OD green fiber scabbard is marked U.S. M8 / B.M. Co, and is also in offered in very good condition. This is the earlier version of the scabbard, though like most it was upgraded with a belt hook at the top. It was manufactured by Beckwith Mfg Co. a division of Victory Plastics.
You just don't find them much better than this!
