Introduced in 1944, the more compact M-2 design was immediately successful and was used by both U.S. Army and Marine Corps personnel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pouch was designed to hook into the eyelets of either a pistol belt or cartridge belt, keeping the medical supplies within easy reach.
