Designed for transporting and protecting the U.S. Carbine, Caliber .30, M1 when not immediately in combat use, the case remains substantially complete and retains its original shoulder strap and zipper assembly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis example is faintly marked on the interior: \u003cb\u003eSHANE MFG. CO. \/ 1944\u003c\/b\u003e, and is made of OD Green #7 Canvas, which has moderate period and storage wear with a few popped stitches and some dry rot to the small leather tabs. This was originally a darker, more \"green\" type of OD green, as typical of later war produced items, but it has faded heavily to a lighter green.
