This example is made from a WWII McCord helmet shell with a Vietnam War era M1-C chinstrap, and a Vietnam War-made Paratrooper liner, though there is no chincup or napestrap.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe helmet shell is stamped with heat lot number \u003cstrong\u003e823B\u003c\/strong\u003e and is a front seam, swivel bale helmet. The helmet was repainted during the Korean or Vietnam War.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is no camouflage cover on this example. The M1-C chinstrap still snaps into the liner without issue. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe helmet liner is in decent original condition, showing signs of being worn in a hot humid environment. Markings are present on the liner suspension but they are faded. Both of the yokes for the chinstrap are intact but the cup is gone. The liner is stamped US \/ 25. The nape strap is absent.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shell chin strap is intact, and also has extensions with snaps on the end, which secure the liner to the shell for paratrooper use.
