This is a lovely grouping including two marked duffel bags, a haversack, HBT cap, photos, and ephemera identified to Anthony P. Bredice, who during World War II served with the 3rd Artillery Corps, attached to the 1st Marine Division. He took part in the Battle of Okinawa and several others. He remained in the Marine Corps into the Korean War era, when he was promoted to sergeant. During the Korean War era, he was assigned to Battery D, 2nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery, Auto Weapons Battalion. He does not appear to have gone to Korea.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe items include:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- Duffel bag from WWII with stenciled unit emblem and stenciled name, carried in the Pacific theater.\u003cbr\u003e- Duffel bag from 1950, marked with Bredice name and unit information, along with locations. Good example. \u003cbr\u003e- 2nd Pattern M1941 Haversack well-named to Bredice, including “\u003cstrong\u003e2ND PLT. T. BREDICE, SGT.\u003c\/strong\u003e” Marked as 6th Marines. \u003cbr\u003e- Pair of Leg gaiters both stenciled and named to Bredice. \u003cbr\u003e- Canvas belt stenciled to Bredice. \u003cbr\u003e- HBT Cap with stenciled EGA on front, named on interior \u003cstrong\u003eSGT. BREDICE\u003c\/strong\u003e. Worn during Korean War era.\u003cbr\u003e- Small photo album with photos from his service in WWII. The album itself is modern but the photos are mostly original. 17 photos total including shots from Okinawa, photos in uniform, etc. Some interesting shots.
