This is a very nice original WWII inert M6A1 rocket for the U.S. WWII 2.36 inch M1 \/ M1A1Bazooka. The 2.36\" rocket consists of a head, a stabilizer tube, and tail. The rocket is totally inert and complies with standards outlined by ATF.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnlike most examples we have, this rocket was actually fired! It looks to have been a \"dud\" that failed to explode upon impact, and then was recovered later. The explosive materials were removed, and it was then welded together at the joints. It even has had some bolts welded on so that it could be attached to a wall for display. The inert rocket measures approximately 19 inches long and still has a bit of the original OD green paint on the exterior.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe M6A1 was the second projectile designed for the M1 and M1A1 bazooka family. The original M6 was notoriously unreliable, both with the launch and detonation. The M6A1 had improved fuze and ignition designs to help get rid of this problem.
