This is an excellent example of a rare Early-War issue M2 Paratrooper pocket knife with "jigged bone" grip scales. These are very difficult to find in any condition, as they were quickly replaced with the plastic and then metal scaled version. This example shows only light wear and retains a nice sharp edge still. It also has the end loop or "bale", used to secure a lanyard that would keep the knife from falling to the ground if dropped.

The knife is fully functional, and is marked on the bottom of the blade ricasso as follows:

SCHRADE
CUT.
