The metal frames display a pleasing aged finish with only scattered tarnishing and surface discoloration, and the lenses remain clear and display well despite normal scratches, spotting, and handling marks. The original face cushion is still substantially intact, with expected age-related hardening, cracking, and some flaking to the underlying rubber, most noticeable along the upper edge. The black elastic strap remains complete and securely attached, though naturally showing age and reduced elasticity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe original cardboard box is a particularly desirable accompaniment and remains well marked, showing only expected storage and handling wear. The included American Optical lens wrappers are also well preserved for fragile wartime paper items, retaining their clearly legible markings and dates despite toning, wrinkling, and minor edge tears. The spare lenses remain a strong addition to the set and show only scattered surface marks from age and storage.
