We have seen many period nutcrackers of this type, and they seem to have been made in a wide variety of designs. It measures about 2 1\/2\" across the \"ears\", and 2 1\/4\" front to back, with a height of 4 5\/8\" with the bottom screwed in all of the way.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall condition is very nice, showing some wear to the paint, as well as worked in dirt and fading to the \"hair\", as one would expect after 70+ years. The base still screws in relatively easily, though we have not tested it to see if it is still able to cack open the shells of nuts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJust the thing for any homefront propaganda collector!
