Camp Hale, Colorado, was subsequently established as a major training center for these specialized units.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA lightweight and portable cooking stove was considered essential equipment. Coleman was initially given approximately 60 days to develop a suitable design, resulting in the Model 520 stove, often referred to by collectors as the M-1941. The pump remains present and moves, but it does not produce compression, most likely because the internal seals have deteriorated. The fuel cap opens, the fuel-control valve turns, and the burner adjustment remains movable. We have not disassembled the stove to determine whether all internal components are present, and it has not been tested with fuel or ignited. It should be professionally inspected and serviced before any attempt is made to operate it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe original aluminum carrying canister uses a bayonet-style closure that engages a protrusion on the base.
