Martin, serial number 20365034. In July 1944, Martin was wounded by artillery shell fragments in the wrist and leg. The group includes his “D-Day to St. Lo” certificate, denoting that he was with the division on D-Day and served with it continuously until the capture of St. Lo on July 18th, 1944. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe group includes:\u003cbr\u003e- Unengraved Purple Heart \u0026amp; Bronze Star Medals.\u003cbr\u003e- “D-Day to St. Lo” certificate, 6 x 6½”.\u003cbr\u003e- 29th ID Christmas card written to sister. \u003cbr\u003e- 1972 Memorial card of Martin, died May 15th, 1972.\u003cbr\u003e- 5 Original photographs showing Martin in theater, two of which show him on his motorcycle “Miss Lois” wearing his leather kidney belt. There is another photo of a destroyed bunker, and him using binoculars.
