Along with the jacket is several pages of research including Parker’s DFC \u0026amp; AM Medal cards and a photograph of his crew. The jacket bears 1st Lieutenant bars on both shoulders, U.S. \u0026amp; Aviation officer’s collar insignia, and a Sterling set of Pilot’s wings above the left breast pocket. On the left shoulder is a gorgeous velvet \u0026amp; bullion Army Air Forces patch, and on the right shoulder is a gorgeous velvet \u0026amp; bullion 12th Air Force patch. The jacket is very high quality, and the pockets are even corduroy-lined! There is some light mothing but nothing serious.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlton Willis Parker was born on February 22nd, 1921 in Bladen, North Carolina. He enlisted in the Army on November 13th, 1942, joining the Army Air Force and being commissioned as a Lieutenant. He traveled overseas and joined the 487th Bombardment Group and participated in at least 30 combat missions between November 1944 and March 1945. Parker returned stateside and was discharged on April 30th, 1947.
