One-of-a-Kind. This is a tremendous smoking board kit likely put together by a U.S. Veteran of World War I using pieces he brought back from France. The board includes a match striker, a small shell meant to hold matches, an ashtray with two slots to hold pipes or cigars, and a stand with four slots for pipes and a large artillery shell reservoir likely meant for storing tobacco. This is a very unique set, the first of its kind we have seen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe set measures 15 x 5¾ x 5¼”. The artillery shells are removable, with two of them having no base and the third being from a French 75mm shell dated \u003cstrong\u003e1917\u003c\/strong\u003e. The match striker is very worn down, meaning this set definitely saw heavy usage by the veteran who put it together. The set comes with one smoking pipe which is marked on the side:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTARFIRE\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDR. This set would look complete with the rest of the pipes, and could still be used today, with all parts working as intended.
