MIHIEL\u003c\/strong\u003e, and \u003cstrong\u003eARGONNE FOREST\u003c\/strong\u003e. The bowl of the mess kit is decorated around the edge with what was likely to be further work on the bottom, but it was never finished.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bottom is engraved with the initials \u003cstrong\u003eW.L.R..\u003c\/strong\u003e The mess kit retains the fork, knife, and spoon, with the knife being stamped with the name \u003cstrong\u003eGEO. E. SHRINER\u003c\/strong\u003e. The spoon has a tag attached naming it to Raymond E. Miller, a soldier who never made it overseas.
