Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a very nice WWI issue holster & pistol belt set, with lots of patina! The holster is a very rare totally original WWI Model 1916 holster for the .45 auto. This holster is maker marked S. & R. CO., with a very faint inspector mark underneath. A very scarce maker. We've been collecting holsters 50+ years and this is only the second S&R we've found. We have not been able to identify this maker.
The belt is the typical brass fit Model 1910 pistol belt, which has the Mills "bullet" logo as well as a 1901 Patent Date on the end fitting. The other side has the MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO address marking.
The belt and pistol are in good condition, but do show much wear. This is a set that saw long service in the field. There is a brass star attached to the holster flap, and there also appears to be a name inside, but we can't quite make it out.
Just perfect for a WWI issue 1911 .45 pistol!
