This example has tremendous stitch-work to the interior along with a great serrated white trim along the front edge. There is heavy wear and staining with some moth damage as well. All buttons retained to front with 3 on each cuff. Buttons are marked to Horstmann of Philadelphia.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- .45-70 Ammunition Belt with U.S. Buckle. No markings besides a set of soldier’s initials on one of the brass mounts. Buckle shows heavy wear and belt has very heavy staining across. All loops appear retained but there is some fraying.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- M1895 Forage Cap - a great example with a cap badge for Company K, 10th Infantry Regiment. The interior retains its full sweatband and size tag, 6⅞. There’s a piece of cardboard giving the cap its shape. There is a maker’s label for B. Pasquale Co., Inc. located at 123 Geary Street, San Francisco. Great cap. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- M1878 Canteen with strap marked M \/ U.S. \/ 37 \/ 31. Likely for Company M, 37th Infantry, but hard to say for sure. Cork is retained and in good shape, carrying strap is faintly marked ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL. Heavy staining, great example. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- M1878 Blanket Bag - Great example with the corner leather thongs retained and original carrying straps on back retained as well. Stenciled on back of bag CO. M \/ 6 SQD for Company M, 6th Squad. Hard to find piece of gear!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- M1878 Haversack with carrying strap, marked with Infantry Company F over I.3.MO. \/ U.S. \/ 29. Handwritten name Grigg on front. Faint marking for ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL on interior. Carrying strap is in good shape.
