It is of iron construction with a hinged lid with access to the interior, revealing rotating blades activated from a winding handle protruding from outside the roaster itself.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt still retains its forged 12 1\/2 inch long iron arm to allow a distance from the soldier to the fire. This arm appears to be marked \"24th\" or \"26th\" (regiment), but unfortunately it is not clear.
