These were often seen used in conjunction with a blanket roll and haversack to carry equipment. This was the first model pack adopted following the Model 1858 “Double Bag” Knapsack used during the Civil War.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bag retains its two original leather straps, but unfortunately the left D-Ring has broken off and is gone, so it will need to be replaced, but otherwise the bag is in fantastic condition with the leather of the straps still pliable.
