It’s correctly marked \u003cstrong\u003eU.S.\u003c\/strong\u003e on the ricasso. The scabbard is well-attached without serious denting. The rosette is correctly \u003cstrong\u003eNJ \u003c\/strong\u003emarked.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe M1874 McKeever box is unmarked on the back and is heavily worn due to the cracking. The securing strap is retained but the knob is gone. The interior actually retains the rifle tool and twenty rounds, making the box rather heavy.
