Pasquale Co. of San Francisco, California.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlthough it is an edged weapon, this post-war version of the M1860 sword was primarily intended for use in ceremonies. The blade, measuring 30 inches in length, is straight, double-edged, and has a diamond-shaped cross-section. The folding guard still works fine. The blade is adorned on both sides with etched foliate and a military panoply of arms. The blade has some heavy age discoloration spots and oxidation, particularly towards the bottom. The guard is a bit loose but will not come off. Steel scabbard has a good, dark gray\/brown patina and is adorned with two brass mounts and a brass drag; the brass throat is missing, but the blade still sheathes. Both mounts exhibit a floral display.
