Only One Available. This is a great example of a Civil War Federal Issue Enlisted Man’s Model 1839 Belt Buckle with a scarce “Arrow Back”. The buckle has very heavy wear and some strange paper residue on the back, so it could use a minor cleaning. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe buckle has later wartime pattern brass \"arrowhead\" style attachment studs on the reverse. The plate measures measures approximately 3 3\/8” x 2 1\/8”.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe condition is good and was not excavated (not dug up). This die-stuck specimen has the large raised letters \"US\" on the face and exhibits a heavily worn dark bronze patina overall.
