This sword may have been made by them, or made under contract by an outside maker.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sword measures 35 3\/4\" overall, and the hilt and \"shell\" Guard are of bronze\/brass alloy and the grip is wire bound leather. Overall the guard is loose on the tang, though the grip is not. The guard has a lovely federal eagle design, typical of this pattern. It has a minimized guard on the inner side, to avoid irritation. It comes in its original brass mounted steel scabbard, which unfortunately has lost the drag fitting.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition is very good, with a great look and patina. The hilt has a lovely brass patina, and the grip is in very good condition.
