This style of ice axe is documented as having been used by the Gebirgsjägers, and while officially neutral, Switzerland still supplied Germany throughout the war.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis ice axe is offered in excellent condition, and measures 34 1\/4\" in overall length with a 11 1\/2\" head. There is a proof marking and serial number \u003cstrong\u003e1469\u003c\/strong\u003e on one side of the head, while the other side is dated \u003cstrong\u003e1944\u003c\/strong\u003e, as well as maker marked:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGebr.
