From the information we were provided, the president of the company did not want to manufacture and sell these knives. They were made on a special order basis \u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003eonly \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003eto the Swiss Military for a period of 1-2 years. The blade bears the \u003cb\u003eKlotzli \u003c\/b\u003elogo in between \u003cb\u003eINOX \u003c\/b\u003eand \u003cb\u003eSWISSMADE\u003c\/b\u003e, and the underside of the crossguard bears the \u003cb\u003eKlotzli \u003c\/b\u003elogo over \u003cb\u003e030\u003c\/b\u003e, likely a serial number.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis example came to us from the \u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003eLarry Thomas American Edged Weapon Museum\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, further cementing its authenticity and prestige.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 8 ¼” Bowie style blade has a roughly 4 ¼” sawback along the spine. The knife is still very sharp and only shows the original factory sharpening marks. The brass crossguard has holes at each end for the attachment of a lanyard, with one attached on the side. The handle is wrapped with green cord, and doesn’t look to have ever been undone. The pommel is unscrewable, and has a compass on the interior side! Inside the handle is a small cylindrical tube with fishing tools, a great survival tool to have in your knife! The overall length is 13 ½”.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe original leather sheath is the standard type for this knife, with two holes in a leather piece at the drag for the attachment of a rope or lanyard, and there is still a rope attached. There is another rope attached at the belt loop, which has six holes for this purpose. There is a large plow for a whetstone, with one inside still wrapped in the original paper, only fitting half of the pouch however. This was likely meant to hole two whetstones of equal size. The sheath retains the diagonal securing strap with a functional snap.
