This grenade has a black bakelite casing and was used as an offensive grenade and acts very largely by blast effect. The maximum effect is obtained at 2 metres and it is said to be effective at 3.5 metres with a deterrent effect at 10 metres radius. The impact fuze is similar in function to the British No 247 all-ways-acting fuze.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grenade is in pieces as the bottom piece no longer screws onto the grenade anywhere. It is somehow kept in place by the metal spring piece on the outside.
