It works by launching a 40mm rocket propelled grenade using the gases escaping the muzzle to expel the rocket from the tube. Originally the RPG-7 and its predecessor, the RPG-2, were designed by the Soviet Union and are now manufactured by the Bazalt company. The weapon has the GRAU index 6G3.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eUnloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are NOT considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is totally inert. There are many numbers so we cannot discern a date. Some markings include \u003cstrong\u003e((11))-99-84 N\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ePG-7 \/ 4-68-84 \/ RNDSI-5KS-30-83\u003c\/strong\u003e. A good research project.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe round measures roughly 35” in overall length with the full tail assembly still intact with all four expandable.
