This is a wonderful example of the classic Japanese Type 90 Tetsubo (鉄帽 - \"steel cap\") army helmet, also colloquially called the tetsukabuto ( 鉄 冑 \"steel helmet\") by Japanese troops.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFeatures include:\u003cbr\u003e- Original metal star applied to front.\u003cbr\u003e- Solid complete three pad leather liner, with 3 of the 3 pads still present.\u003cbr\u003e- Original, worn tie down chinstrap, still tied in a knot. It shows some wear but is still attached directly to all three rings.\u003cbr\u003e- Original paint with the expected wear and oxidation, showing the \"blue\" manganese steel underneath.\u003cbr\u003e- Marked in white with 大 for Size Large next to what may be unit markings, including a 22 and 56, which could be divisional or regimental units.\u003cbr\u003e- Approximate size is 7 1\/4 (58cm).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA very nice condition helmet, with much of the original paint, with the expected wear and chips from service.
