Emperor Meiji was the first monarch of the Empire of Japan, and presided over the Meiji era.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is an outstanding bronze bust of Meiji, measuring 8 ¼” tall with a 2 ½ x 3” base. The statue is very detailed with great depictions of his medals and orders. The back of the statue has great embossed Kanji, which we were unable to translate. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA fantastic bust from the Pre-WWII era, likely even earlier.
