It is of multi-piece construction, with black, white, and red fabric stitched together, and \u003cstrong\u003eBad. Jugendwehr\u003c\/strong\u003e is printed on the central white stripe. These youth units were in many ways predecessors to the HJ National Youth organization, as they continued post-war into the Weimar period, often associated with one of the many Freikorps groups. As the idea of youth being used as part of a paramilitary organization was not new, it made it easier for the NSDAP to grow their own youth group.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe armband is in nice \"salty\" service used condition, showing fading, staining, and small tears to the exterior side, while the interior side retains the colors much better. It definitely looks to have seen extensive service during WWI.
