The sword itself mimics the appearance of the classic British Model 1796 Officer’s Sword, which traditionally was a very popular design amongst the European market for decades.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Sword features a beautiful etched blade, with each side exhibiting scrollwork and military motifs extending halfway up the blade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe blade is marked on the ricasso with the double trademark \"\u003cstrong\u003eKnights's Helmet\u003c\/strong\u003e\" (Ritter-helm) alongside a \"\u003cstrong\u003eKings's Head\u003c\/strong\u003e\" (königskopf) logo of legendary German maker \u003cstrong\u003eWeyersberg Kirschbaum \u0026amp; Cie of Solingen\u003c\/strong\u003e. Hilt is constructed of heavy brass, and is fitted with a half folding guard. The braided wire wrap is nice and strongly intact. The red felt scabbard buffer at the ricasso is intact. Overall exhibiting a very pleasing patina.
