Collecting signed photographs of well-known individuals is certainly nothing new, and those of German WWII Veterans have become extremely popular collectors items during the post war period. The high ranking generals were popular during the war itself, and when not deployed were often available for signatures at fundraisers. After the war, many German WWII veterans would become fixtures at veterans and collector events, giving talks as well as signing autographs.

This is a very nice set of signed photographs, one of which looks to be period, while the others are post war. The set consists of:

● 3 1/8" x 4 1/8" signed period photograph of Generalleutnant Curt Badinski, Knight's Cross Recipient, with a date of 1942 under the signature. Badinski commanded four different infantry divisions during WWII. He was a career soldier, and saw fighting on both European fronts of WWII.

● 6" x 4" signed recent photograph of Luftwaffe Ace Pilot Oberfeldwebel Elias Kühlein, who may have been promoted to Leutnant near the end of the war. He flew the Messerschmitt Bf 109 as part of JG51, and achieved 36 confirmed aerial victories by the end of the war in 600 missions.

● 4" x 5 7/8" signed recent photograph of SS-Standartenführer Jakob Fick, Knight's Cross Recipient, who after the war changed his name to Jacob Briehl Fick. He saw a good amount of service during the war, and personally led a sortie on his own initiative that resulted in his KC award.

● 5 1/4" x 3 7/8" signed recent photograph of Lt. Gottfried P Dulias, which lists JG 53 "Pik As" 1944/45 on the front of the photo. The image on the photograph however has been determined to almost certainly be a fabrication, and it looks like much of Dulias' claimed service record probably is as well. He even co-wrote a book about his time as a pilot and as a P.O.W. in a Soviet gulag, but almost all of the information regarding this dame from Dulias himself. Researchers of JG53 have not been able to find any in information about him having been in the unit. Far more is known about his post war activities, having been heavily involved with numerous veteran's events and air shows, where this photograph was acquired.

A great chance to pick up some nice additions to your German WWII autograph collection!

https://www.ima-usa.com/products/original-german-wwii-veteran-signed-photographs-wwii-period-and-post-war-signatures-and-prints
