Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice unissued WWII German National Banner or Flag, which measures a very displayable 30 by 45 inches. These could be hung vertically or horizontally, and were displayed on buildings, on podiums during speeches, or sometimes even hung up at camps. It looks to be of all cotton construction, and is double sided with a single piece cotton white circles with black Swasen (Hook Crosses) dyed onto both sides.
Condition is very good, with just some small holes and wear from storage. It has a few small stains, but does not have much age toning or fading. It does not appear to ever have been hung up, and even still has the original card stock tag on one corner, which has the stock numbers for the flag, as well as a 3 45 date. It also bears the abbreviation ges. gesch.. This is the abbreviation for Gesetzlich Geschützt (Protected By Law), indicating that this flag was a trademarked design.
