With 23,303 examples produced, the Pak 40 formed the backbone of German anti-tank guns for the later part of World War II, mostly in towed form, but also on a number of self propelled artillery such as the Marder series of Panzerjäger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is an adorable trench art rendition of a German PaK40 anti-tank gun, made from brass pieces of artillery shells and casing, almost certainly by a German soldier during the war. The most interesting piece of this anti-tank gun is that the breech is made from a British .303 Casing.
