The rabbit ears still affix to the tripod well enough, but one of the three legs appears to be unable to properly tighten, so the longer leg slides out if it isn’t placed down. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe tripod on its own measures roughly 35” tall, and with the optics installed, it measures roughly 54” tall. The included VIII.18 device as well as the tripod are manufactured by\u003cstrong\u003e Carl Zeiss of Jena\u003c\/strong\u003e, a specialist lens maker, and one of the finest makers of optics at the time. They designed many of the optics used by Germany during WWII, and continue to produce world class lenses and other optics to this day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe periscope’s case is in rough shape with some \u003cstrong\u003eHEAVY \u003c\/strong\u003eloss of stitching, especially on the lid, as the very heavy optic and accessory put continuous strain on it. This set would be best displayed all put-together with the cases serving as aesthetic.
